Documentation
of Creative Work (HS)
Hello, I'm Brendan Wan, an aspiring creative entrepreneur based in the Bay Area. This website serves as a documentation of my discoveries and obsessions throughout the years. When I'm not working on new ideas, you’ll probably find me drawing in my math notebook, playing ice hockey, or tucked away in a cozy coffee shop.

General Information:
The Wan Project™
EST.2023
I created this project in order to recognize and honor a point of intersection between American society and Asian heritage; a period in time where the lines of cultural identity blur together and traditions begin converging into a singular entity. This convergence of identities becomes “Asian American subculture”, born from the expectations of American society and the traditional values of Asian heritage. Through videography, clothing, and carefully curated look-books, I seek to freeze this transient confluence of ideas—to capture fugitive moments of a childhood tinged through a lens of an identity formed in a cultural chasm.

Gin.Q™ (Conceptual)
Graphic Design:
Gin.Q is a brand focused on creating an ecosystem of paper products designed to foster genuine relationships, encourage introspection, and restore purpose in daily life. At Gin.Q’s core is the belief that analog products—guided journals, reflective card games—can offer a grounding experience, pulling people out of the superficiality of social media and into a mode of interaction that prioritizes quality over quantity.
These conceptual designs for Gin.Q earned me a national Scholastic gold medal for design.

Sketchbook Series
(2023 / 2024)
In this 2023-2024 sketchbook series, I focused on drawing from life, applying the technical skills I developed in previous years—perspective, anatomy, 3D rendering—in order to capture movement and depth.
Many of these drawings come from moments of stillness (waiting in line, sitting in a cafe, etc). In an effort to disconnect myself from the constant hum of social media, I turned to drawing as a more fulfilling, productive, and peaceful pastime. More than ever, I’ve found a blissful sense of solitude in drawing and creating art.
